Albany Aqua Ducks & Trolleys Team

Robert Wolfgang, President
Bob is an Albany native who served the citizens of Albany for 33 years as a member of the Albany Police Department. In April 2004, Bob retired from the department to develop the Albany Aqua Ducks as a way to share with others the rich history and fun to be found in his hometown. Since starting the company, the Albany Aqua Ducks have transported almost 100,000 guests. In July of 2006, the Aqua Ducks added the Albany Trolleys to their fleet of vehicles and began offering another way for people to tour and enjoy the Capital City. Today, he also serves as CEO of Tech Valley Security, based in Albany. The firm specializes in investigations, security/risk management, consulting and training. During his years with the APD, he held many positions including Public Information Officer and, for more than 12 years, as Supervisor of the Department's Community Services Unit. The later years of his career were spent in various management positions and he ultimately became the Chief of Police. During his law enforcement career, Wolfgang established an excellent relationship with the diverse community he served and he was successful in developing countless new and innovative programs - promoting, marketing and sustaining them. One of his more successful and well-known projects is the annual "Capital Holiday Lights in the Park," developed with the support of Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings. The show has become the foremost holiday attraction in the region. Wolfgang studied Criminal Justice and Public Administration at both Hudson Valley Community College and the State University of New York. He serves on the boards of a number of not-for-profit organizations in and around the Capital Region. Bob is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain and holder of a New York State CDL License.
