Educational Tours
The Albany Aqua Ducks and the Albany Trolleys have a wealth of educational field trip opportunities for students of every age. And we welcome scout groups to explore these trips, too.
The Albany Aqua Ducks can customize an educational amphibious tour for your group. We offer affordable educational field trips for the region's school children - field trips developed by educators with an emphasis on curriculum appropriateness based on the group's age. Each field trip combines a marine component with science or social studies related themes.
The tour takes you around the major educational sights of New York's Capital City where you will see diverse architecture as you learn about Albany's history. We'll pass the Governor's Mansion, the New York State Capitol, Albany City Hall, the New York State Museum and many more interesting places.
Then, it's SPLASH!
into the Hudson River where we will pass the USS Slater, the former Delaware & Hudson Railroad headquarters (now home to SUNY Central) and the USS Slater.
Our DUCKS are available from April through October.
Our Trolleys operate year-round and have a wide variety of tours available. In addition to historic tours of Albany, we can offer students the chance to explore Schenectady, Troy, Bethlehem, Watervliet and Cohoes. We also offer tours of historic Albany Rural Cemetery where expert guides tell the tales of Albany's First Dutch Settles, Civil War heroes and more.
Want your students to visit a farm? We can do that. And, we have more specialty field trips being developed daily
Need transportation? Not a problem. That's what the Ducks and Trolleys do.
Can't leave the classroom? Not to worry. Our Henry Hudson re-enactors are available to come to your school. There's no better way to share Albany's 400-year history.
